Webb, Hubble join hands to find 14 bright objects, capture universe in full glow


In a groundbreaking collaboration, Nasa's James Webb Space Telescope and Hubble Space Telescope have united to study an expansive galaxy cluster and reveal the most colourful view of the universe.
The galaxy cluster known as MACS0416 has been pictured by combining visible and infrared light, offering one of the most comprehensive views of the universe ever captured.
Located approximately 4.3 billion light-years from Earth, MACS0416 is a pair of colliding galaxy clusters that will eventually merge to form an even larger cluster. The image reveals a wealth of details, including a multitude of galaxies outside the cluster and sources that vary over time, likely due to gravitational lensing-the distortion and amplification of light from distant background sources. read more
