After Apple and Google, Microsoft has now said it will make its own custom chips

At the Microsoft Ignite event today, the company introduced two special chips a systems they've been working on. These chips, called the Microsoft Azure Maia A Accelerator and the Microsoft Azure Cobalt CPU, were designed specifically for different tasks in their cloud services.
The Maia Al Accelerator chip focuses on artificial intelligence (AI) tasks and generative Al. Meanwhile, the Cobalt CPU is an Arm-based processor made to handle general computing jobs within the Microsoft Cloud read more

Meta might soon bring hashtags to Thread but with a twist
