Elon Musk issues fresh warning, says we are sleepwalking our way into World War 3

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that not only is the US sleepwalking its way into World War 3 because of the Israel-Hamas conflict, but the entire human civilisation itself may be at stake. Musk called for the US to work out a way to maintain peace with Ukraine and 'resume normal relations with Russia'.
In a Twitter Space -- or are they calling it an X Space now? -- about the devastating Isread-Hamas war, hosted by David Sacks, with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy on the panel, the SpaceX CEO said that the United States of America is sleepwalking its way into World War 3. He said that due to the ongoing war, the "civilisation itself may be at stake". Musk warns that if a fight does break out on a global level, a "massive battle" should be expected. read more

Instagram is testing an X-like feed that will only show posts from verified accounts

Meta is exploring new ways to lift up its paid verified users. In a recent announcement, Instagram head Adam Mosseri said that the company is testing a new feed option that will show users posts only from verified users. This means that users will be able to see posts from their favourite celebrities, influencers, and brands without having to scroll through their entire feed.
The new feed option is part of Instagram's Meta Verified subscription service, which authenticates users' identities and gives them access to other perks, such as priority customer support and exclusive stickers. World not on track to end deforestation by 2030

Despite global pledges to end deforestation by 2030, the world is moving too slowly to meet these commitments, according to a report released on Monday by a coalition of environmental organisations.
The annual Forest Declaration Assessment report revealed that deforestation increased by 4% worldwide in 2022 compared to 2021, with approximately 66,000 square kilometers destroyed. This puts the world 21% off track to achieve the goal of ending deforestation by 2030. read more

Two Russian astronauts to step out of Space Station. release nanosatellite

 In a significant development in space exploration, two Russian space agency. Roscosmos, cosmonauts are set to conduct a spacewalk outside the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday.
The primary objective of this mission is to install communications hardware and inspect a portion of the orbital complex.The cosmonauts, Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub, members of Expedition 70, will venture outside the station's Poisk module. Their task includes the installation of a synthetic radar communications system, which is expected to enhance communication capabilities in space. read more

Over 1,000 Himachal cops fall for cryptocurrency fraud, lose crores of rupees

In a shocking turn of events, over a thousand police personnel have fallen prey to a fraudulent local cryptocurrency scheme in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district, as revealed by an official on Thursday. The fraudulent cryptocurrency, known as 'Korvio Coin' (KRO) and 'DGT Coin, duped a majority of the affected police personnel of crores of rupees. However, some of them not only recouped their losses but also took on the role of scheme promoters, drawing more unsuspecting investors into the scam. read more
